Prime Video has just added 17 big movies to its library

Rory Cashin

Prime Video

One of the Prime Video additions is arguably the greatest action movie ever made.

Loads of new Prime Video additions to enjoy this week, no matter what your favourite genre might be! Starting with…

ALICE, DARLING

Anna Kendrick headlines this psychological drama about a young woman in an abusive relationship who is then forced to take part in an intervention by two of her best friends.

AMELIE

One of the most romantic movies ever made, about a woman (Audrey Tautou) who tries to help complete strangers find love, but isn’t prepared when she discovers love for herself.

THE COVE

With a Rotten Tomatoes score of 95%, this brilliant documentary puts a spotlight on the dolphin hunting practises in Japan.

DAVID BRENT: LIFE ON THE ROAD

This spin-off movie from The Office is painfully unfunny, which is a real shame for those who loved Ricky Gervais’ iconic comedic creation.

DUNE

The 2021 sci-fi epic with an outstandingly stacked cast. A great time to catch up on it before the impending sequel.

FENGULLY: THE LAST RAINFOREST

Did you hear about how this animated movie about fairies protecting a forest was almost ruined because of Aladdin? It is a great story, check it out in full here.

MAD MAX

As well as the original, Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior, as well as Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome have been added to Prime Video, should you want to get your full post-apocalyptic Mel Gibson trilogy on.

MAD MAX FURY ROAD

Charlize Theron and Tom Hardy headline the rebootquel, and in the process, we get what is arguably the greatest action movie ever made.

NIGHT SKIES

A spooky movie about six strangers who find each other after they all claim to have been abducted by aliens.

PACIFIC RIM

In response to big monsters arriving on Earth, humanity makes some big robots to fight them. It is dumb, but it is fun, and Idris Elba gets to deliver a big speech. Hooray!

POSSESSION

A dark psychological horror about a husband (Sam Neill) and wife (Isabelle Adjani) going through a tough divorce, made all the most difficult by the interference of a potentially supernatural creature.

RATCHET & CLANK

Before we got this year’s massively popular Super Mario Bros. adaptation, we got this animated feature based on the beloved PlayStation characters. The difference being… this one isn’t any good.

SEVEN PSYCHOPATHS

Colin Farrell’s second teaming with writer/director Martin McDonagh (after In Bruges, before Banshees Of Inisherin) is their worst pairing, but there is still plenty to be enjoyed, including Sam Rockwell’s unhinged performance.

TILL

Prime Video has just added one of the best movies of 2023 so far.

THE WATER DIVINER

Russell Crowe stars in and directs this well-meaning but kind of dull drama about a father attempting to find the bodies of his sons killed during the Battle of Gallipoli, so they can be buried with their mother.
