You can finally watch one of the very best movies of the last few years.
In case you've been living under a rock recently, Promising Young Woman is one of the most-talked-about movies that has come along in a LONG time.
The movie focuses on Cassie (Carey Mulligan), someone who is wickedly smart, cunning, and she's living a secret double life by night, always with a secret mission of her own design each and every time she heads out on the town. However, after an unexpected encounter, Cassie has been given the chance to right the wrongs from the past.
We don't want to get too deep into the plot, because the real highlights arrive by surprise, and will leave your jaw on the floor as you're watching.
Obviously the Academy Awards agreed, as the movie has recently been nominated for five Oscars, including Best Actress for Mulligan, Best Picture, as well as Best Screenplay and Best Director for the movie's writer/director Emerald Fennell. We were actually lucky enough to chat to Fennell in the run-up the movie's release, and you can check that out right here:
Promising Young Woman was originally due for a big screen release, but due to the pandemic, the producers are making it available to watch at home, not too long before the Oscars themselves take place!
Promising Young Woman will be available to watch on NOW and Sky Cinema from today (Friday, 16 April).
