The Simpsons remains brilliant, despite how bad it’s been for over a decade.
Such is the pure genius of seasons 2-10/3-9 (depending on your own sensibilities) that the show could continue on its current trajectory for another 50 years – and let’s face it, that may happen – and it would still be arguably the greatest television show ever made.
We all have our personal favourite characters – Homer being the most obvious choice – but many of the show’s best moments have come courtesy of obscure or even one-off characters appearing in solitary episodes.
