When it comes to a love of Spielberg, this guy wrote the book. Literally.
We imagine that when Ernest Cline wrote Ready Player One, filled to the brim with Spielberg references, he had no idea that he would one day see the movie become a reality with that master of cinema at the helm.
And yet here he is, chatting to JOE, about writing the book and then years later co-writing the screenplay adaptation for the big screen.
Cline clearly has a huge love for all things cinema, TV and games, especially anything that could be filled with 80's nostalgia, but we had to ask... since the movie is all about finding hidden messages and clues and Easter Eggs, are there are Easter Eggs in the movie itself that viewers might never find.
He told us that he'd be very surprised if anyone, ever, including the people involved in making the movie, would find them all...

Ready Player One arrives in Irish cinemas with special advance screenings from Wednesday 28 March, and goes on general release from Friday 30 March, and can we just suggest you go see it on the biggest screen you can, because the set-pieces in this movie are IMMENSE.
