Robert Morse: Mad Men actor dies age 90

Robert Morse, a veteran of stage and screen, has passed away aged 90.

The actor best known for playing the role of Bert Cooper in AMC’s hit period drama, Mad Men, passed away on Wednesday night. The news was broken by his son, Charlie, via Eyewitness News on Wednesday night.

A two-time Tony winner with numerous acting credits to his name, Morse has a long and illustrious career, earning five Emmy nominations for his role as Coooper and even returning to Broadway at the age of 85 back in 2016.

Morse starred in the 1961 stage production of How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, winning his first Tony Award for the performance before starring in the film adaptation in 1967. He then won his second in 1992 for his portrayal of Truman Capote in Tru.
