True crime documentaries

Good news for any true crime addicts.

It’s fitting that in the same week Season 2 of Mindhunter is released on Netflix, RTÉ has added a plethora of true crime documentaries to its online library.

In the show Murder Made Me Famous, viewers will get to see the real stories about serial killers and how their crimes made them notorious. The three seasons of the show profile a variety of criminals, including the likes of Ted Bundy, Charles Manson, Robert Chambers, David Koresh, Robert Durst, Jim Jones and more.

With 25 episodes of Murder Made Me Famous to watch, true crime viewers should have plenty to get stuck into, but if you’re looking for more, another show, Confessions of a Serial Killer, should do the trick.

The documentary “brings the spine-chilling confessions of some of the world’s most notorious serial killers to life” profiling Aileen Wuornos, Dennis Nilsen and Robert Black amongst others.

Amongst the other new additions to the RTÉ Player library, Encounters With Evil is another documentary series bound to interest viewers interested in true crime .

That particular show “tries to get at the root of some of the worst crimes ever committed by the world’s most cold-blooded killers” and covers a variety of topics, such as kidnappings, cult leaders, cannibalism and more.

All three documentaries listed above are available to watch on RTÉ  Player.
