Hunger Games and Peaky Blinders star Sam Claflin has told JOE about an as-of-yet secret movie that he filmed in Dublin.
JOE was speaking to the Golden Globe nominee (for his role in Daisy Jones & the Six) about his upcoming mystery thriller series, Lazarus, which is out on Prime Video next week.
You can check out our long-read article about the show - based on interviews with Claflin and his co-star Alexandra Roach, the series' creators Harlan Coben and Danny Brocklehurst and its producer Nicola Shindler - right here.
During the conversation, we had to ask Claflin about social media reports that he was recently filming a project in Dublin.
The actor confirmed to JOE that the reports were true, revealing that he has shot a movie in the Irish capital that required him to do an Irish accent.
However, he also added that he couldn't say too much about the film because it has not been announced yet, but that he had a "wonderful" time in the Emerald Isle.
Here is what he said to JOE in full:
"I was [filming in Dublin], yeah… I don't know if I can talk about it. I don't think it's been announced.
"It's an Irish film. I do my best attempt at an Irish accent, so please don't be too harsh.
"But it was pretty much a predominantly Irish cast, Irish crew, Irish story, and it was honestly such a wonderful experience.
"I'd spent only a little bit of time in Ireland prior to that, and all I'll say is I am now a very much newly appointed Guinness drinker. I went to the Guinness factory, explored.
"I really fell in love with Ireland and the people. It was a great experience.
"And I can't wait to talk about [the movie] because it's really quite a powerful film and a beautiful story, but yeah, again, I can't say too much right now, I don't think."
Claflin was also full of praise for Irish actress Roisin Gallagher (The Dry), who appears opposite him in Lazarus.
The six-part show follows Joel Lazarus (Claflin), a psychiatrist who returns home after his fellow psychiatrist father, Dr Jonathan Lazarus (Oscar-nominee Bill Nighy – Living, Love Actually), dies unexpectedly.
As Joel starts examining his father’s belongings, he begins to experience disturbing visions that cannot be explained and quickly becomes entangled in a series of cold-case killings.
This is as he and his sister, Jenna (Alexandra Roach – Nightsleeper, Utopia), grapple with the mystery of their father’s death and their sister’s murder 25 years ago.

Amidst all this, Joel also forms a connection with another psychiatrist named Laura (Gallagher).
Yet, because he is being plagued by bizarre visions that feel real but seem impossible, there is a question mark as to whether Laura truly is what she appears to be.
Speaking about acting opposite Gallagher, Claflin told JOE:
"I wasn't overly familiar with her before [working on Lazarus]. I knew of her, but I hadn't seen a huge [amount of] her work, but she was incredible.
"The two of us, I think, had this beautiful chemistry, and she came in all guns blazing. There is a sort of tête-à-tête between our two characters. She's his equal in many ways.
"But she's again, so talented, so gifted, and I remember reading that episode for the first time and not knowing, like Laz, whether or not she's there or not.
"What [Gallagher] brought to [the show] is a sort of ethereal quality. She just handled it with so much charm, Irish charm, and, yeah, it was a joy."
