Peaky Blinders Season 4 Netflix

Christmas binge…by order of the Peaky Blinders!

If you had to buy a present for some of the Peaky Blinders characters, what would you get them?

Tommy is easy to buy for because you can’t go wrong with a bottle of whiskey and some smokes for the leader of the Shelby gang.

As for Alfie, we’re going to get him a dog toy for his beloved pooch, Cyril. Arthur could clearly do with a set of gloves to protect his hands, especially since he seems to get into a scrap every few minutes!

While we’re thinking over what to get the lady that has everything, Aunt Polly, we’re happy to say that Netflix have an early Christmas present for fans of Steven Knight’s superb drama because Season 4 is now available for your viewing pleasure.

With Season 5 of the beloved gangster epic currently filming, now is the perfect time to catch up on all the turmoil and events that recently unfolded in Small Heath.

Season 4 really did start off with a bang – quite literally – as Tommy had to scramble at the last minute to save his family from the hangman’s noose.

All this paled in comparison though to the events that unfolded at the end of that episode. Luca Changretta, what an introduction!

After the Shelby family were forced to retreat to familiar terrain, Peaky Blinders really did kick things up a gear and Irish director David Caffrey deserves massive credit for planning and executing those phenomenal action sequences.

To be honest, there were moments when Season 4 felt like a mixture of Heat and Once Upon A Time in America. Despite the phenomenal action, we were also introduced to some brilliant new characters (Luca Changreatta, Jessie Eden and Aberama Gold being the main ones) and got a glimpse at some of Tommy’s hidden secrets.

Aside from this, we had Tom Hardy’s iconic Alfie Solomons delivering more incredible one-liners, Aunt Polly consolidating her position as arguably the smartest woman in the show, Jessie Eden proving to be an extremely good foil for Tommy as they clashed over industrial conditions in the factory, and we also got a stunning finale that placed Arthur in serious jeopardy.

As always, Tommy had a plan to solve all of these dilemmas!

At present, Season 5 is currently filming and we’ve been teased with some minor details – the new episodes will deal with issues like the rise of fascism and the Wall Street crash – but as we wait for a premiere date to be announced, it’s time to get reacquainted with the Shelbys over the holiday season.

We’ll drink to that!
