"It’s a wild ride that begs to be seen with an energised crowd."
An action flick being described as a cross between John Wick and Rambo is now available to rent in Ireland.
Titled Sisu, the movie tells the story of a solitary gold miner (Jorma Tommila) in late 1944 who crosses paths with Nazis on a scorched-earth retreat in northern Finland.
When the soldiers decide to steal his bounty, they quickly discover they just tangled with no ordinary miner.
It turns out that the elderly Fin is a battle-hardened former commando who winds up embarking on a very bloody quest to retrieve his gold.
Though the film's gory set-pieces mean that it is definitely not for the fainthearted, the action flick has been getting rave reviews - racking up an impressive 94% score on Rotten Tomatoes.
You can read a sample of some of the positive write-ups for Sisu below:

Globe and Mail: "If watching mass-murdering maniacs get absolutely destroyed on-screen is your thing – and it very much is mine – then Sisu is a perfectly depraved night out."
