Some classics sit alongside new favourites on Sky Comedy.

Aside from the fact that January is usually grim, it’s fair to say that we could all do with a laugh. After all, we’ve got the mudslinging of a General Election to look forward to, the Brexit deadline, and the US election too.

Joy.

Anyway, if you’re in need of a laugh, Sky are here to lighten the mood because on 27 January, they’re launching a new channel that’s called Sky Comedy.

In terms of the shows that they’ll be broadcasting, Sky Comedy will be the home of features from HBO, NBC and Showtime.

Girls, Parks & Recreation, 30 Rock, Veep, Entourage, The Mindy Project, Sex And The City and more will all be shown.

The Sky Comedy library will have brand new and acclaimed series such as Mrs Fletcher starring Kathryn Hahn, The Righteous Gemstones starring John Goodman, Adam DeVine and Danny McBride, AP Bio created by Mike O’Brien, and Run starring Merritt Wever and written by Vicky Jones and Phoebe Waller-Bridge.

New episodes of returning US shows like Larry David’s Curb Your Enthusiasm, Ballers starring Dwayne Johnson and Insecure will be shown too.

If you love talk shows, you’re in luck because The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon, Last Week Tonight with John Oliver, Real Time With Bill Maher, Saturday Night Live, and James Corden’s The Late Late Show are all being shown.

Sky Comedy will take the Sky EPG slot 113 from Monday 27 January 2020 and will also be available on streaming service NOW TV.

Take a look at what’s in store.
