The first two seasons of the show scored 95% and 100% on Rotten Tomatoes.

Apple TV+ has unveiled the official trailer for the third season of its beloved spy thriller series Slow Horses.

Based on novels by British writer Mick Herron, the darkly comic and tense show centers around Slough House – an MI5 dumping ground department filled by agents who made career-ending mistakes.

Run by the miserable, slovenly but intelligent veteran agent Jackson Lamb (the Oscar-winning Gary Oldman), the department also features River Cartwright (Jack Lowden), a young once up-and-coming agent.

In each season of the series – Cartwright, Lamb and the rest of the reject agents (who are referred to as “Slow Horses”) become entangled in a mystery.

The first season of the show earned a 95% Rotten Tomatoes score, while the second fared even better – scoring a perfect 100%.

As such anticipation is high for its third batch of episodes, with the plot synopsis from Apple TV+ for the upcoming season stating:

“In season three, a romantic liaison in Istanbul threatens to expose a buried MI5 secret in London. When Jackson Lamb and his team of misfits are dragged into the fight, they find themselves caught in a conspiracy that threatens the future not just of Slough House but of MI5 itself.”

Also returning as part of the cast for the third season along with Lowden and Oldman is Freddie Fox, Jonathan Price, Kristin Scott Thomas, Rosalind Eleazar, Saskia Reeves and Sophie Okonedo.

This is as Gangs of London star Sope Dirisu will be joining the show.

Slow Horses season three will premiere on Apple TV+ on 20 November. Check out its trailer right here:
