Unsurprisingly, the teaser is more than a little NSFW.
It has been TWENTY-TWO YEARS since the folks behind South Park gave us the first and, to date, only movie based in that universe – the Oscar-nominated (yep, look it up) South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut.
However, as part of the $900 million deal that creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone struck with Paramount, there are many more on the way, and the teaser trailer for the first new South Park movie in over two decades has just arrived.
South Park: Post COVID will be set in the semi-distant future, showing us adult versions of Stan and Kyle, who seem to be reuniting for the first time in a long time.
We also get a look at old man Randy, who points out that the movie isn't a "special", but an "exclusive event", separating this movie from the two recent COVID-related special episodes recently, South Park: Pandemic Special and The South ParQ Vaccination Special.
The movie will arrive exclusively on Paramount Plus in America on Thanksgiving (25 November), with no set release date for Irish viewers announced at the time of writing.
However, while Paramount Plus is currently unavailable for Irish viewers, it will be added to NOW and Sky services in early 2022, so chances are that will be when we can get eyes on the Post COVID movie.
