Spongebob spinoff

And in case that news isn’t good enough already, it’s about Patrick Star.

That’s right folks, The Patrick Star Show is coming to Nickelodeon.

The Spongebob Squarepants spinoff will focus on his best friend Patrick, and his own life and family.

The lovable starfish will host his very own talk show, and it is expected that other characters who live under the sea will feature, as well as a whole host of new characters voiced by new actors.

Voice actor Bill Fagerbakke will continue to voice Patrick, Deadline has confirmed.

Spongebob creator Stephen Hillenburg died in 2018 at the age of 57, but it is beleived that the spinoff will have a lot of the creative team behind the original series involved.

The iconic cartoon show Spongebob Squarepants first premiered in 1999, and after years of success, has also seen the creation of three feature films and a Tony award-winning musical.

No release date has been made available for The Patrick Star Show yet, though seeing as the existence of show has only just been confirmed, we wouldn’t expect to see it on our screens anytime in the immediate future.

We just have to cross our fingers and hope that the theme song is as much of a banger as Spongebob’s is.
