In terms of size and scope and scale, it is difficult to think of a movie bigger than Godzilla: King Of The Monsters.
The epic monster-mash travels the globe, knocking over any building unfortunate enough to be in its way, but all of the sound and fury in the world means next to nothing if you don't care for the characters in the middle of it.
Which is where O'Shea Jackson Jr. and Millie Bobby Brown come in.
Jackson Jr., who you might know from Den Of Thieves and Long Shot, plays a military man who has been drafted in by monster-chasing group Monarch in order to try to keep things under as much control as is humanly possible, while Brown (from Stranger Things fame) plays the daughter of two scientist parents who are at the centre of a conspiracy to control the monsters for nefarious purposes.
JOE was lucky enough to sit down with them both in the lead-up to the release of the movie, and the very first thing we did was call back to the time we interviewed O'Shea for Den Of Thieves and revealed what O'Shea actually means in Irish.
Unfortunately, we couldn't find a similar Irish definition for Millie, but we did find a French meaning, which she seemed very happy with!
On top of that, we talked about how it feels to be on the set of a movie of this scope, the pressures of saving the world, and wanting to start a petition to get O'Shea into a VERY high profile sequel!

We also chatted to the movie's writer/director Michael Dougherty, which you can watch here.
Meanwhile, Godzilla: King Of The Monsters is in Irish cinemas right now.
