There’s going to be a Stranger Things season 2 party in Dublin on Friday 13th

October can't come quick enough...

80’s fancy dress costumes at the ready.

Stranger things season 2 comes out in October and to be quite honest with you, we cannot wait until it’s available to watch.

Since hitting our screens in 2016, it has gripped (and confused the hell out of) Irish audiences and it has proved to be a big fan favourite here.

If you haven’t seen it, we are disappointed but we are here to give you a brief synopsis and to tell you to put season one on the list of things to watch this September.

Then, you will be up to speed just in time for season two.

Speaking of which, to celebrate the release of the second season on Netflix, The Generator Hostel in Smithfield will be transformed into scenes from the hit Netflix series.

Taking place on October 13, it will kick off the Halloween spirit and get everyone in the mood for the return of the show.

Bootlegger Events will be fitting out the Generator Hostel bar, top to bottom, into scenes from the show and to top it all off, it’s on Friday the 13th.

Here, you can discuss the many questions that still surround the finale of the first season and when you’re done doing that, you can talk about what you think is going to happen in season 2.

The party will feature:

  • Different parts of the bar recreated into scenes from the show, including “the Upside Down” and the alphabet wall.
  • DJ spinning an eclectic mix of 80’s Jams and Retro Electro to match the Stranger Things ambience.
  • Drink specials and themed beers and cocktails (Upside Down shots, anyone?)
  • Fancy dress encouraged (Stranger Things or 80’s style) and prizes for best costumes.

Tickets are €13 but a limited number of Early Bird tickets are available at €11.

You can find more information about the event on its Facebook page and at Eventbrite.

Also, you will find the trailer for Season 2 here.
