Released in Irish cinemas at the end of July, The Suicide Squad managed to wipe clean the still-tarnished memories of 2016's Suicide Squad, with some some fantastic reviews and a very happy fanbase, but was also a bit of a damp squib at the box office, with the $185 million production (without any additional promotional costs) making just $155 million worldwide so far.
If you haven't seen it yet, we wholeheartedly recommend you check it out, and we also suggest you don't keep reading this fairly spoiler-filled article.
Still here? Okay, on we go...
As you know, The Suicide Squad definitely has more fun killing off its antiheroes than Suicide Squad did (which, if we remember, only killed two characters?). Let's take a look:
Blackguard (Pete Davidson) - dead, shot in the face
Javelin (Flula Borg) - dead, shot to death
Mongal (Mayling Ng) - dead, killed in helicopter explosion
Captain Boomerang (Jai Courtney) - dead, killed by shrapnel
Savant (Michael Rooker) - dead, killed by brain bomb
The Thinker (Peter Capaldi) - dead, ripped apart by Starro
Rick Flag (Joel Kinnaman) - dead, stabbed by Peacemaker
Polka-Dot Man (David Dastmalchian) - dead, squashed by Starro
Starro - dead, eaten alive from the inside by rats
If you didn't sit through the post-credits scenes, then you might not have realised that both Weasel (Sean Gunn) and Peacemaker (John Cena) also survived the movie, despite the earlier scenes make it seem like they'd died via drowning and being shot in the throat, respectively.
However, there is one more survivor of the comic book massacre, which writer/director James Gunn revealed during a watch-along event on Twitter this week...

Yep, T.D.K. (Nathan Fillion) is actually still alive. Or, at the very least, he was still alive when the movie last checked in with him, as he laying screaming in agony while being shot in his detachable arms.
This seems to be something that even came as a bit of a surprise to the actor who played him...
