Suits fans will definitely be watching.
As soon as Mike Ross took refuge/barged into that interview with Harvey Specter, we knew that Suits was going to be a show that’s unlike any other.
Despite the egos, machismo and bravado that the two main characters exerted throughout, there was one woman that always kept the legal eagles in check, Jessica Pearson.
Patrick J. Adams & Meghan Markle might be moving to pasture new – something about a Royal wedding for Ms Markle – but the drama doesn’t stop there because the Suits spinoff is coming and the official plot details have been announced.
The new show is going to be called Second City and it will focus on Jessica Pearson. As reported by Deadline, the show will revolve around Gina Torres’ character as she enters the dirty world of Chicago politics.
Suits and Second City will co-exist together but the spinoff does have some serious potential because the creator and executive producer of Suits, Aaron Korsh and executive producer Daniel Arkin, will both be involved in the new show.
As for the future of Suits, the show was recently renewed for an eighth season with Gabriel Macht, Rick Hoffman and Sarah Rafferty being joined by Dulé Hill and new addition Katherine Heigl.
There’s still plenty of courtroom drama to come.
