Sylvester Stallone wants to make a new Rocky film and here’s what it will be about

“There’s a good chance that Rocky may ride again.”

“You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain’t about how hard ya hit. It’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. That’s how winning is done!”

Throughout the course of his cinematic life, Rocky Balboa has taken some serious hits after losing his wife, best friend, and trainer, but ‘The Italian Stallion’ has also seen some euphoric highs as he became World Champion and trained his protege, Adonis Creed, to do the same.

Including the Creed films, we’ve seen Rocky on the big screen eight times but during a recent interview with Variety, Sylvester Stallone has said that there’s still plenty of road left in his most beloved character.

Aside from discussing his hopes for a prequel TV show about Rocky in his younger days, the Golden Globe-winner elaborated on the big screen future of the character.

When asked if another film which features Rocky is on the cards, he said “there’s a good chance that Rocky may ride again.”

In terms of the next potential film, Stallone outlined the plot as follows “Rocky meets a young, angry person who got stuck in this country when he comes to see his sister. He takes him into his life, and unbelievable adventures begin, and they wind up south of the border. It’s very, very timely. Do you tell someone that you just met in the street who’s struggling and homeless to get out, or do you take him in? If you take him in, you’re in trouble.

If you’ve ever questioned the power of Stallone, the three-time Oscar nominee has said that if the studio had their way, they’d “want to go tomorrow” on production.

It appears that we’re going to be seeing more moments of Rocky building those hurting bombs. Bring it on.
