It looks like a fan-favourite character who missed out on Infinity War might be back for Avengers 4

No, not Hawkeye…

If you cast your mind back to the opening scene of Infinity War, when we’re on board the spaceship that Thanos has already slaughtered – which then includes Loki and Heimdell – but we’re told that some folk did make it away on some escape pods.

There had been some worry, especially after making such a huge impression in Thor: Ragnarok, that Tessa Thompson’s Valkyrie might be one of the victims to the golden gloved space tyrant.

However, in the audio commentary on the home release of the movie, the Russo Brothers pretty much confirmed that Valkryie made it away in one piece.

Since then, both Tessa Thompson and Chris Hemsworth have been busy filming the as-yet-untitled Men In Black spin-off together, due for release here on 14 June 2019.

Following on from finishing up shooting their scenes in London, Chris Hemsworth said on his Insta-story over the weekend:

“Finished the London portion of Men in Black. Then we go to Morocco, Italy, a bit of Paris. But first, we go to Atlanta, to shoot some additional photography for Avengers.”

The “we” bit there might mean anything, except that eagle-eyed fans spotted on Bobby Holland Hanton‘s (aka Chris Hemsworth’s body double) Insta-story a few hours later, a private plane landed in Atlanta, and off got Chris Hemsworth… and Tessa Thompson.

Does this 100% mean that Valkryie is in Avengers 4 (now guessed to be titled Avengers: End Game)? Absolutely not.

But the pieces do line up, and it is fun to guess!

Meanwhile, Irish fans of the MCU can enjoy a mini-movie festival of all twenty movies on huge IMAX screens. Full details of that right here.
