The beloved actor and comedian passed away this week and this is a wonderful tribute to his unique talent.
Following the sad passing of Niall Tóibín earlier this week, it’s very likely that some people flocked to YouTube to reminisce and remind themselves of just how gifted he was as a comedian.
Truth be told, this appearance on the Late Late Show in which he performed a plethora of Irish accents and characters is a brilliant indication of his gift for storytelling, dialogue and humour.

Tonight (15 November), TG4 will air A Jar with Brendan Behan, in Tóibín’s memory; for those that might not be familiar, Tóibín had a special talent for imitating the beloved author, as he did in this one-man show from 1970.
Tóibín was famous for his portrayal of Behan, starring in Borstal Boy many times in the Abbey Theatre and also on Broadway, winning a Tony Award for his performance.
The film was only aired once before on Irish television and it’s is a rare chance to see a unique talent doing what he does best.
Check it out on TG4 at 8.30pm.
