This could be your big break…

George R. R. Martin’s new TV show Nightflyers is taking shape, and Limerick is the place to be if you fancy getting in on the action.

We previously brought you the news that a “secret production” in Limerick was seeking extras, and it turns out that was for the latest venture from the Game of Thrones creator.

If you’ve already applied, there’s no need to do so a second time.

With filming set to begin next month, a fresh casting call has been issued by Movieextras.ie, Ireland’s leading agency for film, TV and commercial opportunities, who exclusively look after extras casting for the likes of Fair City and Red Rock.

They’re looking for “people of all ages, genders, nationalities, shapes, sizes and looks”, as well as people with a “funky” or “futuristic” look.

People of Asian, African, Filipino, South American and Middle Eastern heritage are also being sought, and long-term availability is preferred, as many of the extra roles will be ongoing and thus needed for continuity.

No experience is required, as training will be provided.

If you think you fit the bill, click here to apply.

The 10-episode series is based on Martin’s 30,000-word novella, originally written in 1980, and is set in the same ‘Thousand Worlds’ universe as many of the author’s other published works.
