A cash cow…
The most successful book series in the world paved the way for one of the most lucrative film franchises in the world according to figures from movie data website The Numbers.
The newest movie, Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them, was released this week and so far the reviews have been largely positive as they try to create a wizarding franchise that doesn’t require Daniel Radcliffe.
Over the years, Radcliffe along with Emma Watson and Rupert Grint were instrumental in the success of the coming of age odyssey that was Harry Potter which captivated audiences around the world and made Warner Bros. vast piles of cash.
Therefore it comes as little surprise that the studio gave a subtle nod to Rowling and indicated that perhaps there could be even more movies, why stop at just the eight?
Money talks after all, but how much how much money did they actually make?
