THIS. IS. TRAILER. The latest trailer for 300: Rise Of An Empire has arrived

Small and scary, this is the Joe Pesci of trailers...

JOE brings you the latest trailers in association with the good folk over at Magnet.

The Joe Pesci of trailers. That’s what this is.

Although only a minute in length, the latest trailer for 300: Rise Of An Empire packs a pretty powerful punch for its small size.

The clip features a number of beautiful, sword-wielding women (Eva Green, Lena Headey), epic battles at sea and plenty of OTT operatic accompaniment to help us realise just how dramatic this is going to be. Thanks music department.

And just check out the equine excellence of one horse jumping through fire AND water to land on a ship so that her rider can wreak havoc. Now that’s a proper War Horse Steven Spielberg.

The scariest thing though? The inclusion of Zack Snyder’s name as producer *shudders*.

And although there are a few brief clips of Leonidas lying amongst his fallen brethren, we’ve a feeling that we may not be seeing too much of him this time around. A positive move we’re sure you’ll agree – any film that stars less of Gerard ‘I WAS SPARTA’ Butler is most definitely a good thing.

A sequel to the 2007 gore-fest that was 300, 300: Rise Of An Empire will cover events before, during and after the events of the first film, as well as establishing how Xerxes became known to all as “the God King.” Probably because he was just way taller than everyone else.

300: Rise Of An Empire is scheduled for release in March 2014
