Tom Sizemore collapsed at his LA home 10 days ago
Actor Tom Sizemore's doctors have reportedly told his family to prepare for end-of-life decision after his condition has failed to improve. The
Saving Private Ryan and
Heat star collapsed at his Los Angeles home, on February 18, and became unconscious.
Sizemore's agent, Charles Lago released a statement on Monday, saying the actor, who played the role of Sergeant Horvath in the 1998 Steven Spielberg film, had suffered a brain aneurism "that occurred as a result of a stroke"
"Since that day, Tom has remained in critical condition, in a coma and in intensive care," Lago said, according to
ABC News. The agent continued:
"Today, doctors informed his family that there is no further hope and have recommended end of life decisions. The family is now deciding end of life matters and a further statement will be issued on Wednesday.
"We are asking for privacy for his family during this difficult time and they wish to thank everyone for the hundreds of messages of support, and prayers that have been received. This has been a difficult time for them."

Tom Sizemore 'in a critical condition'
Tom Sizemore, 61, also appeared in
Black Hawk Down,
Pearl Harbour and
Passenger 57 among many others. Lago previously told
FOX News that Sizemore was at his South Main Street apartment in Los Angeles when he suffered a brain aneurysm and became unconscious.
"He is in the hospital," Lago said. :His family is aware of the situation and are hoping for the best.
"It is too early to know about [a] recovery situation as he is in critical condition under observation."
TMZ first broke the news of Sizemore's condition.
Sizemore's most recent role was in a new indie science fiction film,
Impuratus, playing a police detective forced to believe in the supernatural after witnessing a Civil War veteran's death bed confession.
