Coming from the director behind Friday Night Lights (wooohooo) and Battleship (doh!) Peter Berg, this intense looking action drama has a pretty damn spectacular cast.
Mark Wahlberg, Taylor Kitsch, Emile Hirsch, Ben Foster, Eric Bana and Turtle himself, Jerry Ferrara star in the cinematic retelling of “Operation Red Wing,” where four Navy Seals were tasked with taking down Taliban leader Ahmad Shahd in 2005.
Early word on this one from critics in American who have had a sneak peak is that it’s Oscar worthy, with superb performances, visceral action and genuine heart. It looks pretty earnest, but it’s based on a true story so Berg obviously worked from that source.
We LOVED Friday Night Lights and a couple of Bergs other flicks (Welcome to the Jungle, Very Bad Things), so fingers crossed for this one,
