#TRAILERCHEST: You won’t even want to breathe after watching this trailer for A Quiet Place

Michael Lanigan

A Quiet Place

“Who are we, if we can’t protect them?”

Welcome to #TrailerChest, where we’re taking a sneak peek at the brand new trailer for A Quiet Place.

Plot’s it all about?

A supernatural force, which is attracted to sound has wiped out most of the Earth’s population. Those who have survived are desperately learning to adapt in a world where making even the slightest noise could now be fatal.

By luck one unnamed family of four has managed to stay together throughout all of this. Taking refuge in abandoned rural houses and forests (because that’s not a terrifying or potentially dangerous place), they communicate via sign language, while carefully planning every single footstep in order to not even make leaves rustle. It’s all working reasonably well, because having a deaf child (Millicent Simmonds) means they are used to non-verbal communication.

The only problem is that the mother (Emily Blunt) is pregnant, so on top of surviving and keeping their children safe, they now have to contend with what is inevitably going to be an unavoidably loud moment as she goes into labour. On top of this, one of the kids (Noah Jupe) has a really loud toy, which really doesn’t help things either.

Unless they are careful and quieter than mice and the kid does not play with his REALLY LOUD TOY, they will end up being the evil force’s next set of victims. The only question is, how long can they keep this up?
