“Based on a true fantasy”
Those are the words used to sign off the first trailer for Rocketman, the Elton John biopic.
Starring Taron Egerton (Kingsman) as the legendary entertainer, the first trailer is more of a teaser as it shows us a series of fast moving snippets before launching into the song’s full instrumental.
Colourful, flamboyant, and with more costume changes than a Baz Luhrmann movie, Rocketman is directed by Dexter Fletcher and also stars Jamie Bell as Elton’s writing partner Bernie Taupin.
Set to be one of the music movie events of the next 12 months, alongside the upcoming Queen biopic Bohemian Rhapsody, it’s definitely something not to be missed.
