#TRAILERCHEST: This Irish movie being released this week looks like one of the best this year

Alan Loughnane

Definitely worth checking out…

Welcome to #TrailerChest, where we’re taking a sneak peek at the trailer for Handsome Devil.

Plot it’s all about: The story follows Ned Roche during his time in a boarding school where rugby is religion and he himself on a quest to get himself thrown out of the school. Although the principal has other ideas on that score, no matter how hard he might… *bad rugby pun alert* try.

The story shifts with the arrival of two characters, a new English teacher played by Andrew Scott, and a new roommate who is everything he’s not, sporty and popular.

After a host of great Irish films over the past couple of years, Handsome Devil looks like being ranked right up alongside them.

Directed by: John Butler

Starring: Fionn O’Shea, Nicholas Galitzine, Andrew Scott, Moe Dunford, Michael McElhatton, Ruairí O’Connor, Mark Lavery, Jay Duffy, Amy Huberman, Ardal O’Hanlon and Norma Sheahan.

Release date: April 21, 2017.
