2022 is shaping up to be a great year for DC fans.

It looks like the next year is about to be an exciting one for any DC fans as a whole host of trailers were dropped by the company on Saturday.

With some highly anticipated new releases such as The Batman and Aquaman Two, as well as some incredible looking video games and even a children’s movie in the form of DC League Of Superpets, it seems like there is something for everyone in their latest offering.

You can take a look at some of the biggest teaser trailers dropped by DC yesterday in the list below.

The Batman:

The Batman starring Robert Pattinson in the dual role of Gotham City’s vigilante detective and his alter ego, reclusive billionaire Bruce Wayne has been highly anticipated. Comic fans everywhere have been eagerly waiting to see if Pattinson (of Twilight fame) will be capable of taking on the iconic role  – and it looks like they might not have to wait too long to find out as the movie is set to open in theaters on 4 March 2022.

Starring alongside Pattinson as Gotham’s famous and infamous cast of characters are an all-star cast including but not limited to, Zoë Kravitz  as Selina Kyle, Paul Dano as Edward Nashton and Jeffrey Wright as the GCPD’s James Gordon.

The Flash:

Ezra Miller takes on the role of the speedy superhero in red spandex this time around. However, Miller is not the only big name to make an appearance as Michael Keaton will also be making a cameo to reprise his iconic role as Batman.

No official release date has been announced for this one yet but we do know it’s set to hit cinemas at some point in 2022.

You can take a look at the trailer below:

Shazam Two – Fury Of The Gods:

Shazam Two will see Zachary Levi return to screens in 2023 alongside new villains in the form of Lucy Liu and Helen Mirren (arguably a reason to watch the movie on its own).

Alongside the new villains, Shazam Two promises viewers bigger action sequences, better costumes and… dragons?

You can take a look at the trailer below:

Black Adam:

Whether he’s playing a cartoon God in a Disney Movie or a DC Supervillian, is there anything The Rock can’t do?

Dwayne (The Rock) Johnson stars in this 2022 release, and if the trailer is anything to go by, it’s not going to be one to miss.

You can take a look at the trailer below:

Peacemaker:

John Cena stars as the Peacemaker in this hilarious-looking ‘superhero’ movie set to hit screens on 17 January.

The only issue being the fact that it’s a HBO Max release, meaning it could be a longer wait to watch it in Ireland. Let’s hope not though.

You can take a look at the trailer below:

Aquaman Two – And The Lost Kingdom:

After a four-year wait, Jason Momoa and Amber Heard are set to reprise their roles for Aquaman Two.

Momoa promises that this time around the movie will address “changing times” as well as climate issues – which makes sense given that the character spends a fair amount of time in the ocean. Aquaman Two will hit cinemas in 2022.

You can take a look at the trailer below:

Suicide Squad – Kill The Justice League:

This video game which will be released you guessed it, in 2022, will see the much-loved Suicide Squad gang take on the also much loved Justice League.

The trailer looks good enough to be an animated movie so here’s hoping the actual game is just as good.

You can take a look at the trailer below:

DC League Of Superpets:

This release ‘looks’ like a children’s film, but with the signature comedic duo of Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart as well as Keanu Reeves and more – we have to say, it looks pretty hilarious.

If the trailer is anything to go by then this is one animated movie that you certainly won’t mind bringing the kids to go see. DC League of Superpets will hit screens on 5 May 2022, with a more in-depth trailer to be released soon.

Gotham Knights:

Another video game release and this time sticking with The Batman theme. Play as Batman’s sidekick Robin to fight evil in this 2022 video game.
