You’ll be buzzin’ after watching this…

In case you haven’t heard the news, there’s a brilliant brand new Transformers film hitting Irish cinemas this Christmas Eve.

Yes, you read that correctly.

Bumblebee is actually a really great Transformers adventure and Santa (AKA the person who runs your local cinema), is delivering it right to you in time for Christmas.

Set in 1987, and packed full of humour, heart and high-quality action, Bumblebee is the sixth film in the live-action ‘bot-bashing saga and a prequel to Michael Bay’s 2007 Transformers.

It tells the tale of a battle-scarred and broken Bumblebee finding refuge on earth as he tries to evade capture from the evil Decepticons and, seeing as the film is absolutely rammed with more ‘80s references than a John Hughes reunion party, make sure you wear your mammy’s leg warmers when you head along to see it.

As well as a whole bunch of metallic movie stars, some humans come along for the incredibly enjoyable ride too with John Cena as a shady government operative, Agent Burns, and Hailee Steinfeld as Charlie, Bumblebee’s BFF. You can check out our interviews with John Cena here and Hailee Steinfeld here.

Meanwhile, ‘bots and beings alike all strut their stuff under the expert eye of director Travis Knight (the brilliant brain behind the incredible Kubo And The Two Strings).

The filmmaker was in top form as we chatted to him about bringing something new to the Transformers saga, he revealed the Irish actor he would absolutely love to work with on his next film, and a certain Game Of Thrones star had a very special message of their own for him.

Enjoy…
