There’s some buzz about this film…

In case you missed the cracker-looking trailers, there’s a brand new Transformers film crash, bang and walloping its way into Irish cinemas this Christmas Eve.

Set in 1987, Bumblebee is the sixth film in the live-action ‘bot-bashing saga and a prequel to Michael Bay’s 2007 Transformers.

You’ll be delighted to hear it’s by far the best Transformers since that first instalment over 10 years ago, jam-packed with more ‘80s references than a Breakfast Club reunion party, and tells the tale of a battle-scarred and broken Bumblebee finding refuge on earth as he tries to evade capture from the evil Decepticons.

Coming along for the incredibly enjoyable ride are director Travis Knight and superstars Hailee Steinfeld as Charlie, Bumblebee’s BFF, and John Cena playing shady government operative, Agent Burns.

You can check out our interviews with Travis Knight here and Hailee Steinfeld here.

Ahead of the film’s release, we caught up with John Cena, literally one of the biggest stars in Hollywood (seriously, he’s HUGE), to chat about his devastatingly dapper suit, the prospect of Conor McGregor joining the wrestling world and, the question on every wrestling fan’s lips, when is he coming back to Ireland.

Enjoy…
