True to form, there’ll be two Mrs Brown’s Boys Christmas specials this year again

Jade Hayden

Spoiled for choice, indeed.

Christmas is less than one month away.

And although the excitable among us are already planning exactly what true crime documentaries they’re going to binge over the festive season, there’s another pop culture giant who’ll also be making a return to our screens this Christmas.

Mrs Brown – and her boys.

Yep, as always, the Irish mammy will be returning to the screen to delight families far and wide this holiday season – but contrary to popular belief, we won’t just be getting one go at Mrs Brown this Christmas.

We’ll be getting two.

According to the BBC, It’s A Wonderful Mammy will see Agnes meet an angle who attempts to show her just how awful life would have been if she had never been born.

A travesty, surely.

As well as that, there’ll also be Orange is the New Mammy – a New Year special seeing Peggy Piper the Pernod poisoner out on appeal, as well as Buster and Dermot getting up to some hi-jinx.

Lots to look forward to, clearly.

The exactly times of broadcasts have yet to be released*, but once they are, be sure to mark your calendars, cancel your plans, and lose all your friends.

Because Christmas isn’t a time for family. It’s a time for Mrs Brown’s Boys.

(*And they’ll probably be Christmas Day and New Year’s Day but we’re not entirely sure yet.)
