People were not happy…
A documentary aired on RTÉ One on Monday night about Ireland’s property crisis and viewers reacted to it with unsurprising anger and general dismay.
In Ireland, rental demand is far outweighing the supply and a huge number of people are currently on social housing waiting lists.
The word recovery is bandied about often these days, but for many this recovery doesn’t exist as they deal with negative equity, fighting off eviction, buying a hugely expensive first house or simply trying to find a roof to put over their heads for the night.

The documentary series outlines a week in the housing crisis, giving an inside snapshot to those living on the frontline of the crisis which is showing no sign of abating in the near future.
A lot of people were very upset with what they saw unfolding on their screens…

Inhumane to force people to search for an emergency bed every single night, not knowing if they'll get one. #IrelandsPropertyCrisis
