An underrated Denzel Washington thriller is among the movies on TV tonight

Here’s what’s coming up tonight.

Paddington – 6.20pm – Sky Cinema Family

According to Rotten Tomatoes’ 99% score, this is a nearly perfect movie. And once you see how much joy that little bear brings, we think you’ll agree too.

A Few Good Men – 6.40pm – Sky Cinema Greats

You want the truth? This military drama from West Wing’s Aaron Sorkin shows Tom Cruise and Jack Nicholson at their best.

In the Line of Fire – 9pm – ITV4

Clint Eastwood stars as the president’s bodyguard who’s protecting him against would-be assassin John Malkovich, who was nominated for an Academy Award for this role.

Hancock – 9pm – Film4

Long before the Guardians of the Galaxy, Will Smith’s turn as a washed up superhero was the king of comic book comedy.

Inside Man – 9.30pm – TG4

Detective Keith Fraziér (Denzel Washington) is engaged in a high stakes heist turned hostage situation with criminal mastermind Dalton Russell (Clive Owen), when a power broker (Jodie Foster) gets involved to protect her bosses’ darkest secret from falling into the wrong hands.

Spike Lee (BlacKkKlansman, Do The Right Thing!) directs this intense thriller with an all star cast, including Willem Dafoe, Chiwetel Ejiofor and Christopher Plummer. If you’re looking for twists at every turn, this could be the one for you.

Blade Runner – 10pm – Sky Movies Assassins

What more can be said about Ridley Scott’s sci-fi masterpiece? An audio-visual experience, with Harrison Ford hunting down androids that have become sentient.

The Good Shepard – 11.20pm – Sony Movie Channel

Robert DeNiro directs this CIA origin story starring Matt Damon and Angelina Jolie. Look out for a young Eddie Redmayne making his Hollywood debut.
