Video: “Bulls*it is everywhere!” Jon Stewart goes out with a bang on his last Daily Show

Bruce Springsteen played him out

Jon Stewart has hosted The Daily Show for the final time, and he didn’t hold back.

Stewart explained the many, many different forms of ‘bulls**t’ in one of his best Daily Show rants during his final show on Thursday night.

The host is stepping down after hosting, arguably, the most influential show on American television for the past 17 years. He will be replaced by South African Trevor Noah.

“Bullshitters have gotten pretty lazy, and their work is easily detected. The best defence against bullshit is vigilance, so if you smell something, say something.”

Stewart was played off screen – “Nothing ends. It’s just a continuation. It’s a pause in the conversation. So rather than saying goodbye or good night, I’m just going to say I’m gonna go get a drink,” he said – by Bruce Springsteen.
