Learning about Irish history has never been so damn entertaining…
Episode three of Holding Out For A Hero continues tonight at 9pm on RTÉ2 and explores Fionn MacCumhaill and his band of juvenile delinquent pals, better known as the Fianna.
As per RTÉ: “Tonight Neil is put through the gruelling warrior tests as described in the thousand year old stories about Fionn and the Fianna – he’ll have to jump over and under branches, be chased through the forest by some very hairy men before he’s buried in the ground and with spears thrown at him – a prime example of some good old fashioned 3rd Century fun – as you do!”
Sounds like great craic altogether… for us, that is. Not for Neil. The poor lad.
Take a gander at the trailer below and don’t forget, Holding Out For A Hero continues tonight at 9pm on RTÉ2.
