WHY ARE THE BIRDS SO GODDAMN ANGRY!?

Fergal Reilly, from Ardee in Co. Louth, has bagged the job of a lifetime.

Having made a name for himself as an internationally-renowned Storyboard Artist on amazing animated projects like The Iron Giant, Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs and THE GREATEST FILM OF ALL TIME, Space Jam, the Irishman made headlines around the world when he was announced as the co-director of The Angry Birds Movie.

Fergal is actually the first ever Irishman in the history of cinema to direct a feature-length animated film for a major studio; an incredibly impressive achievement and one that is worth celebrating by slapping your bum-cheeks like this pig.

The Angry Birds Movie is released in Irish cinemas on Friday 13 May and, ahead of its release, we caught up with Fergal to chat about his pig-crushing, feature film-directing adventure, angry Irish people, and, as we’ve already made clear, our love for the greatest film of all time, Space Jam.

Enjoy…

What a gentleman.

And here’s the very funny trailer for The Angry Birds Movie to get you in the mood…
