VIDEO: Louis Walsh’s ‘I can boogie’ Cadbury ad is something you won’t forget in a hurry

Louis can boogie

Conor Heneghan

Oh yes sir, Louis can boogie alright.

Around this time last year, Eamon Dunphy and Johnny Giles starred in one of the most memorable ads on Irish television in recent years.

You know the one, Eamon and John were doing a bit of a boogie and Eamon in particular seemed to be really enjoying himself.

The ad was part of the Cadbury #FreeTheJoy campaign, which is back with another Irish veteran of the small screen, Louis Walsh, dancing around his own kitchen to the same song in a very fetching get-up that includes matching purple shirt and socks.

There might be a touch of ‘drunken uncle at a wedding’ about Louis’ dance moves, but no more than Dunphy and Giles in the last instalment, you can’t accuse him of not throwing himself into it.

Who are Cadbury going to call on next, George Hook? Brace yourself Ireland.
