Irish telly will never be the same again…
The World Cup is over for another four years and everyone in JOE Towers are kind of sad this morning because we have no idea what to do with ourselves now. Another reason we are sad is because last night is the last time we’ll see national treasure Bill O’Herlihy host football coverage on RTÉ.
Bill left in such a classy manner putting all the praise on his trio amigos – John Giles, Liam Brady and Eamon Dunphy. It truly was one of the most touching moments in the history of Irish television.
