VIDEO: The Daily Show’s response to Donald Trump’s anti-Muslim tirade was perfect

The Daily Show never fails to cut through the bullsh*t of US politics with its biting satire and rapier wit.

Of course in Donald Trump they have a subject that is both ripe and deserving of merciless ridicule Politicians and the public alike have been damning of Trump's frankly fascist and unconstitutional call for a "total and complete" block on Muslims entering the United States. But it is left to Trevor Noah and his crew to properly skewer the toadish Trump. As well as suggesting that Trump was actually protecting incoming Muslims from the prejudice and hatred they'd experience in America, Noah and Hasan Minhaj made some very pertinent comparisons between the Republican and ISIS:

"Donald Trump is an extremest leader who came out of nowhere, he’s self-financed, recruits through social media, attracts his followers with a radical ideology to take over the world, and is trying to actively promote a war between Islam and the West. Donald Trump is White ISIS...WISIS!"

Minhaj then totally nails it by turning the tables on the whole 'moderate Muslims should come out and comdemn terrorism' argument:

"Where are all the moderate white conservatives? They've got a responsibility to step up and speak out against WISIS..."  

When Noah shows some footage of Republicans doing exactly that, Minhaj responds...

"I don't know, Trevor - I just don't buy it. I still don't feel safe...it's just easier on my brain to be irrationally afraid of an entire group of people...Until we can figure out what's going on here...we shouldn't allow any white conservatives into the White House."

Superb!
