Having lied, cheated and connived his way to high office in the first season, the tables appear to have turned for Frank Underwood in Season 2 of House of Cards. Not that he’s going down without a fight…
The first series of the political drama is one of the best things to have appeared on Netflix (and remember, it’s only on Netflix) and such was the level of interest in the lives of Frank and Claire Underwood (Kevin Spacey and Robin Wright), Zoe Barnes (Kate Mara) and the rest of the brilliant cast of characters that levels of anticipation have gone into overdrive ahead of the release of the second season next month.
Regular viewers of the show will be aware that, through no little use of devious and underhand tactics, Frank ascended to the office of the Vice President at the end of the first season and if this trailer is anything to go by, he’s about to reap what he sowed as his past comes back to haunt him shortly after taking office.
Rarely has a trailer whet the appetite for what’s to come as much as this one as we see further examples of deception, ruthlessness, treachery and even a little girl on girl action ahead of the 13-episode season that will be released on Valentine’s Day next month.
We can’t wait.
