A year ago we shared with you the teaser and now, today, the official trailer for The Queen of Ireland has been released.
For those that don’t know, The Queen of Ireland is about Mayo man Rory O’Neill, whose cross-dressing alter ego Panti Bliss has been providing panto entertainment for some time.
Panti has ended up becoming an inspirational activist for the LGBT community and was particularly active in Ireland’s historic marriage referendum earlier this year.
Conor Horgan’s movie explores Panti’s transformation from an entertainer to a vital real life character who speaks out against social injustice.
This is going to be great.
