Can we all agree that The Den is the greatest children’s TV of show of all time bar none?
It gave us Zig, Zag, Dustin, Snotser Galligan, Ted (boooooo), Podge, Rodge, Cousin Nigel and many more brilliant characters.
Like The Simpsons, it could operate on different levels – hilarious and endearing to both children and adults.
It’s where Ray D’Arcy got his start and it’s maybe no surprise that he returns to some brilliant moments from the show to help promote his new chat show (handily named The Ray D’Arcy Show), the first episode of which airs Saturday at 9.45pm on RTÉ1.
There’s a nice wee nod to Cinema Paradiso too which can never hurt…
