All bets are off for Oscar season folks, we’ve got a new wildcard in town.
For those of you suffering withdrawal symptoms from a severe lack of ridiculous shark-related films of late, fear not, Mega Shark Vs Mecha Shark is coming to a TV screen near you.
After heroically defeating both the Giant Octopus and the Crocosaurus, the magnificent Mega Shark is back – but this time the humans are ready with a giant mechanical shark of their own. Thank God we hear you cry.
We all fell in love with Mega Shark after we witnessed it jumping out of the air to snatch a jumbo passenger plane in its mouth, almost as if it were auditioning for the latest David Attenborough nature documentary – a thing of beauty.
The Mega Shark we mean, not David Attenborough.
After Mega Shark Vs Giant Octoupus was released in 2009, the film’s star Deborah Gibson AKA Dr. Emma MacNeil said that she always hoped there would be sequels “because God knows what else is in the ocean. I thought maybe a Seahorse? Maybe a 500-foot (150 m) Lobster would be good. But yes, there is the potential for a sequel, and I would absolutely love it.”
Wouldn’t we all Dr. MacNeil, wouldn’t we all.
Thankfully, our prayers were answered in 2010 with the release of Mega Shark Vs Crocosaurus and now, finally, the brilliantly terrible trailer for the next film, Mega Shark Vs Mega Shark is here.
We cannot wait:
No official release date for Mega Shark Vs Mecha Shark has been released yet, so just be careful. They could come for you… at any time…
