Video: The trailer for Sharknado 2 is as hilariously bad as you’d expect

Conor Heneghan

And there you were thinking that the original Sharknado was as good as it gets…

Well sir, you’re wrong because a follow up to the first Sharknado, which comes with the incredibly original title, Sharknado 2: The Second One, will soon be coming to a (small) screen near you and it promises to be bigger, bolder and, more than likely, badder (and we don’t mean ‘bad’ in the cool, Michael Jackson sense of the word) than the first one.

Although the trailer is just over 20 seconds long, you can pretty much grasp what the entire movie is about. In fact, with freak weather conditions causing man-eating sharks to be unleashed upon the terrified and unsuspecting residents of a large city, it’s exactly like the first one, with New York the large city in question rather than Los Angeles this time around.

Tara Reid (remember when there were big things ahead for Tara Reid?) and Ian Ziering return for a movie that won’t get next nor near a cinema and will be confined to the small screen only, but because it definitely has a ‘so bad it’s good’ vibe about it, we can’t wait to sink our teeth into it all the same.

In further good news, meanwhile, a third episode in the series has already been given the green light. Is no major city safe?
