Whether they’re inviting world-class talent on board to direct, or parodying everything from Breaking Bad to Lord Of The Rings, the creators of The Simpsons introductory couch gags have really pulled out all the stops in recent months.
And, for the season that’s in it, they’ve come up with a magical Springfield Winter wonderland.
With everything from a candy-cane smoking Otto, to Mr Burns as the evil Ice Queen there are, as ever, visual gags galore… and, of course, the very aptly-named Santa’s Little Helper gets called into action.
JOE’s favourite bit? The lovely nod to the fondly remembered Marcia Wallace as Edna Krabapple appearing as an angel.
