WATCH: Tonight’s episode of Finné will cover the Tuam mother and baby home

Carl Kinsella

Finné

This will be a tough watch.

Finné, which has been billed as Ireland’s answer to Making a Murderer, first aired on TG4 three weeks ago and got a lot of people talking.

Tonight’s episode is the third in the series, and will follow the story of Peter Mulryan — a man who was raised in the mother and baby home in Tuam where 796 other babies were secretly buried in a septic tank by the nuns in charge.

“How can they sleep in their bed tonight… when they have that on their conscience? But I also blame the state for not checking the nuns out.”

Presented by RTÉ’s courts correspondent, Orla O’Donnell, Finné (the Irish for ‘Witness’) revisits gross miscarriages of justice that have taken place in Ireland in the recent past.

Tonight’s episode will air on TG4 at 9.30pm.
