House of Cards is back.
Netflix has released their first full-length trailer for Season 6 of House of Cards — the first season which will not feature the show's main character, Frank Underwood.
Netflix fired Kevin Spacey, the actor who played Underwood, after allegations were made about Spacey's sexual misconduct throughout his career. Originally, production of the show was suspended and Spacey was fired, before it was confirmed that production would resume.
The trailer for Season 6 reveals that Frank's wife Claire has ascended to the highest office in the land and that the country is as torn as ever. The tense trailer shows Claire cutting ties with long-time Underwood servant Doug who seems to be tempted to switch sides by Russian President Viktor Petrov.
The fate of Frank Underwood, who has now died in-universe, is largely skipped over in the trailer.
It also suggests that new cast additions Diane Lane and Greg Kinnear will play a major role throughout the new season.
Season 6 is set to arrive on Netflix on November 2.
