The highlight of the show?
First Dates Ireland returned to our screens last night for the second episode of the new series and once again, a whole lot of people were tuning in to watch the dating show.
One topic that garnered a lot of attention was Ian and his insatiable love for the female derriere.
But another date which caught the eye was the meeting of Ciaran and Bami.
Bami moved to Ireland from Toronto last year while Ciaran is from up the road in Belfast.
The date seemed to be going reasonably well and the pair had built up somewhat of a rapport, although romance was hardly flowing just yet.
Then Ciaran ducked off to the toilet to strain the spuds and we got the first indication that he may have had more than a couple of drinks…

His moment in front of the mirror where he has the realisation that he is, in fact, “bollixed” was one of our favourite moments of the show.
The viewers at home loved it as well…

I think we've all been Ciaran: giving ourselves the drunk pep talk when we realise we are steamin' in the bathroom #FirstDatesIrl
