Ladies and Gentlemen, Disney Plus has arrived.

Disney have announced that the new streaming services’ official roll-out date will be 12 November, in the US, the same day it will launch in the Canada and the Netherlands.

Netflix’s latest rival have also released a trailer for Disney Plus, where we see clips from MCU movies, Star Wars movies, classic Pixar films and National Geographic documentaries, showcasing the wealth of content the service will have to offer.

Recent movies like Captain Marvel, Avengers: Endgame, Toy Story 4 and The Lion King will all be available on Disney Plus at some point.

It is estimated that Disney will need to generate around 40 million monthly subscribers on their lowest tier subscription model in order to break even.

According to Variety, access to Disney Plus will cost $6.99 per month in America, so it’s expected that pricing plans in other international markets will be roughly comparable.

Although it is yet to be revealed when Disney Plus will make an appearance in Ireland, it’s expected that it will be available here in “less than two years”.
